MELBOURNE - "Either Turkey or Russia will host G-20 meetings in 2012," said Turkish Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Canakci who attended G-20 meetings in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday.
Canakci told A.A that G-20 is representing two over three of world population as well as 85 percent of world`s gross national product.
"We have firstly discussed global economic and financial outlook in this year`s meeting, and then global energy, mining markets and demographic change issues were taken up," said Canakci.
Recalling that seminars are held for academicians and bureaucrats in some member countries prior to G-20 meetings, Canakci said, "we will hold a seminar on Financial Factors of Growth & Development in Istanbul in 2007."
"G-20 countries are grouped according to their geographical locations. Turkey is in the same group with Russia, India and South Africa. G-20 meetings in 2012 can be held either in Turkey or in Russia," noted Canakci.
