ANKARA - Treasury Undersecretariat held on Tuesday two auctions to sell 168-day discounted bonds and 392-day discounted debenture bonds.
In the first auction, the total bid had been 1 quadrillion 716.2 trillion Turkish liras (TL) while the Treasury sold 1 quadrillion 457.9 trillion TL of nominal-valued bonds. The net sale became 1 quadrillion 457.9 trillion TL.
The composite interest was 27.5 percent while the simple interest was 25.71 percent in this auction.
In the 392-day debenture bond auction, the total bid had been 1 quadrillion 617.4 trillion TL.
The Treasury sold 914.9 trillion TL of nominal-valued bonds while the net sale became 698.3 trillion TL.
The composite interest was 28.51 percent and the simple interest became 28.8 percent.
The bonds will be issued on November 19, 2003. The maturity of the 168-day discounted bonds is May 5, 2004 while the 392-day discounted debenture bonds will be repaid on December 15, 2004.
The Treasury will repay 4 quadrillion 849 trillion TL in domestic debt and 765.1 million U.S. dollars in foreign debt this week.
