ISTANBUL - "Our businessmen can plan their future more easily now," Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday.
Speaking at the 6th World Turkish Businessmen`s Congress in Istanbul, Prime Minister Erdogan said, "recent economic developments have a positive impact on the business world. Our businessmen can plan their future more easily now."
"Our economy grew by 30 percent. Our exports increased up to 85 billion USD. We reached a national income of 410 billion USD. National income per capita became 5500 USD. Also, our direct investments rose to 20 billion USD," he said.
Prime Minister Erdogan noted, "Turkey has achieved a historic transformation. Turkey has become an element of prosperity and stability in its region, and an important actor contributing to global peace and prosperity in the world."
He added that they would not make concessions from the financial discipline in the general elections in 2007.
