NEW DELHI - The Second Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan started in Indian capital of New Delhi on Saturday.
State Minister Besir Atalay attends the meeting on behalf of Turkey.
Making opening remarks of the conference, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India said that settlement of peace and stability in Afghanistan would also yield positive results for whole region.
Singh stressed that the fight against terrorism required international cooperation.
Representatives of Turkey, India, Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, the People`s Republic of China, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United States, Britain, Finland, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the United Nations are in attendance at the conference.
