USAK - Intercity buses are planning to carry passengers in return for 25 new kurus (nearly 17 cents).
After the state allowed airline companies to carry passengers in return for 1 new Turkish liras (almost 70 cents), many intercity bus companies have asked authorities to allow them to carry passengers from one city to another with cheaper tickets.
"Kamil Koc" was the first intercity bus firm that applied to Turkish Transportation Ministry, and it was followed by "Anadolu Transportation Corporation".
"Only four passengers in an inter-city bus will travel in return for 25 YKr on condition that they buy their tickets a week before the scheduled trip," said Anadolu Transportation Corp`s Executive Board Chairman Halil Erdogmus when speaking to A.A correspondent on Friday.
"Within the framework of this campaign, passengers can travel anytime to any destination they want and choose the seat they want to sit during their journey," he added.
