MURADIYE - Security forces impounded 80 kg of heroin in an operation in Muradiye town of the eastern city of Van on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped and searched a lorry. During the search, they found in 160 packages 80 kg of heroin stashed in secret parts of the truck, with the help of a sniffer dog.
Driver of the lorry was taken into police custody on charges of illicit drug trafficking.
