Police Detain 21 People Who Staged Demonstration In Istanbul Courthouse

ISTANBUL - Police detained on Tuesday 21 people who staged a demonstration in Istanbul Court House calling for ''Imrali Prison to be shut down'' and ''a democratic solution to be found to Kurdish problem.''
The group comprised of 21 people locked themselves in the small corridor on the third floor.
The group unfurled a banner from the third floor. The banner wrote: ''Democratic solution to Kurdish problem. Imrali Prison should be shut down. Youth Initiative for Social Peace.''
Police sprayed tear gas to the corridor and detained the group.
Officials said that an investigation would be launched.
