ANKARA - Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal said on Tuesday that bomb attacks in Istanbul targeted Turkey and stated that such a terror attempt to Turkey created an impression that the country was entering a new period.
Addressing his party's group meeting, Baykal said that bomb attacks in Istanbul targeted Turkey and stated that those attacks upset them.
Stating that there was 'a breaking in Turkey's foreign policy' recently, Baykal said that the Middle East had been a geography of clash for very long years.
Baykal said that Turkey had always exerted efforts not to be a part of wars, clashes and tensions in the Middle East and stated that but unfortunately, the government was interested in being a part of clashes in the Middle East.
Stressing that they always said that Turkey should not be a part of clashes for Turkey not to be a target of terror, he said that the government did not pay attention to the issue.
Baykal said that they did not want to be a part of the Middle East world and added that they did not want to be involved in clashes, either.
