STOCKHOLM - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has said on Tuesday, ''during visit of Iraqi Interim Governing Council's current president Jalal Talabani, Iraq will be given the message that foundations of relations for future should be laid.''
Gul responded questions of journalists on his way to Sweden on an official visit.
Recalling that Talabani would come to Ankara on November 19, Gul said that the Turkish side would convey some message to Iraq to set up better and deeper relations for the future.
Upon a question on Kurdish leaders' announcements about Kirkuk city of Iraq, Gul said, ''I got the impression that the United States is aware of special conditions of Kirkuk.''
Replying to another question about the Cyprus question, Gul said, ''we are now in a critical period. According to my point of view, it will be rightful to assume productive approaches.''
