Jerusalem - The Israeli Foreign Ministry criticized Saturday a United Nations resolution on Israel`s military actions in the Gaza Strip, calling it "one-sided" and saying it ignored Palestinian missile attacks into the Jewish state.
A ministry spokeswoman told Deutsche Press-Agentur dpa that some "forces" were trying to take the UN hostage and "deny (Israel`s) right to exist."
The UN resolution, passed Friday by a 156 to seven majority in the 192-nation assembly, called for an end to Israel`s "assaults" against the Palestinian people and an investigation into last week`s killing of 18 civilians in the Gaza Strip in a botched artillery shelling by the Israeli military.
