Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Broaden Code-Share Pact

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Virgin Atlantic Airways have widened their existing code-share arrangement, adding new routes connecting Australia, Britain, the United States, and the Middle East to Singapore.

Beginning 1 December, SIA ticket holders will gain access to Virgin Atlantic flights linking London with Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dubai. From 1 January, Virgin Atlantic passengers will be able to book seats on SIA services between London and Sydney, routed through Singapore.

The two carriers already cooperate on several fronts, including reciprocal frequent-flyer benefits, shared lounge access, and round-the-world fare options.

Under the previous code-share terms, SIA customers could connect via Virgin Atlantic from Boston, Washington, and Miami to London, as well as between Manchester and Orlando. Virgin Atlantic travelers, meanwhile, could use SIA flights on the London-Singapore and Manchester-Singapore corridors.
