New York - Resurgent computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co announced Thursday that its latest quarterly earnings were 1.7 billion dollars, or 60 cents a share.
The performance for the August-October period was more than four times its profits from the same quarter of 2005, when HP netted 416 million dollars, or 14 cents a share.
The firm, based in Palo Alto, California, credited sales growth in laptop computers, printers and server equipment.
