ANKARA - President Ahmet Necdet Sezer ratified on Monday law on amendment to Forest Law.
A statement of Presidential Press Center said that President Sezer had vetoed on August 15, 2003 the law which had been adopted by parliament on July 31, 2003 for reconsideration of the first and 13th articles.
The statement noted that the parliament had re-discussed and accepted the law on November 5, 2003.
The law was today sent to Prime Ministry to be issued in the Official Gazette, the statement pointed out.
The statement added that President Sezer would file a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court for annulment of the first and 13th articles.
The first article of the law excludes every kind of fruit trees within scope of forested areas while the 13th article of the law foresees that making use of such places will be subject to a special regime.
