National Defense Minister Gonul In Brussels

BRUSSELS - National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul came to Brussels, Belgium to participate in the EU Defense Ministers meeting.
In addition to foreign ministers, defense ministers of EU member and ten candidate countries who will become members of EU on May 1, 2004 will attend part of the EU General Affairs Council meeting. European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP) will be taken up in that part of the meeting. EU Troika will later come together with ministers of Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria and give them information about the meetings.
After the meeting in Brussels, Gonul will proceed on Tuesday to Zagreb, Croatia to attend the Southeast European Defense Ministers meeting.
Gonul will return to Turkey on Nov. 20.
