Los Angeles - Actor George Clooney has been named sexiest man alive by People Magazine in its annual survey of actors and other celebs, the gossip journal said Wednesday.
The 45-year-old bachelor came in ahead of Grey's Anatomy actor Patrick Dempsey, 40, in second spot, and Ashton Kutcher 28, in third. Fourth spot was claimed by black actor Taye Diggs, 35, ahead of Johnny Depp, 43, and TV actors Josh Duhamel, 34, Enrique Murciano, 33. Leonardo DiCaprio, 32, was in eighth spot followed by comedian John Krasinski, 27, with Jake Gyllenhaal rounding out the top ten.
Two-time winner of the title Brad Pitt only managed 15th spot, which appeared to give Clooney tremendous satisfaction.
"This one's going to be hard for Brad since he's been Sexiest Man Alive twice," Clooney told the magazine. "He's enjoyed that mantle. I'd say 'Sexiest Man Alive' to him and he'd go, 'Two-time.' So that's been taken away. We used to call him Two Time. So Brad's going to be upset."
