WASHINGTON D.C. - Assembly of Turkish-American Associations (ATAA) based in Washington D.C, condemned on Monday the bomb attacks on two synagogues in Istanbul.
ATAA said in its statement that ''these terrorist attacks can only achieve one thing, the 501 years of friendship and cooperation between Turkish and Jewish peoples will strengthen and our common efforts to defeat global terrorism will further intensify.''
Noting that the attacks were committed against all people living in Istanbul irrespective of their religious beliefs and ethnic origins, ATAA expressed condolences to families of innocent victims.
ATAA reminded in its statement that Jewish people lived in peace and harmony with Muslim people in Turkey.
