ISTANBUL - Bombs with high destructive capacity produced by ammonium sulfate, nitrate and pressed fuel oil were used in Saturday's attacks on two synagogues in Istanbul.
High-level security officials told A.A correspondent on Sunday that the footage of security camera showed that a lorry was used in bomb attack on Beth Israel Synagogue in Sisli district of Istanbul.
The officials said that another lorry was used in bomb attack against Neve Shalom Synagogue in Beyoglu district of Istanbul instead of a red car which had earlier been said to be used in this attack.
License plate of those vehicles were false, the officials noted.
The officials stated that investigation on engine and chassis numbers of the vehicles continued.
Meanwhile, experts, following their investigation, said that bombs with high destructive capacity produced by ammonium sulfate, nitrate and pressed fuel oil were used in Saturday's attacks on two synagogues in Istanbul.
Experts guessed that bombs were around 300-400 kilograms, were placed in big barrels, were loaded on lorries after being covered by sacks, and were camouflaged by detergent packages.
Tests made on dead bodies by Forensic Medicine Institute showed that skin tissue of one of the male dead bodies which was torn into pieces and which was thought to be body of a person with Arabic origin was the same with the skin tissue of person who was found in the lorry which exploded.
Meanwhile, police detained four people including one woman who may have a connection with the attacks.
These people are still being interrogated.
