ISTANBUL - Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom visited on Sunday Chief Rabbi's Office in Turkey and two synagogues in Istanbul which were the sight of bomb attacks on Saturday.
Shalom firstly visited the Chief Rabbi's Office and later went to Neve Shalom Synagogue. Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom laid a wreath writing ''Foreign Minister on Behalf of Israeli Government.''
Silvan Shalom later visited Beth Israel Synagogue and also laid a wreath here.
Security measures were tightened during visits of Israeli Foreign Minister Shalom.
Ali Bardakoglu, head of Religious Affairs Department, came to the Chief Rabbi's Office in Turkey during Shalom's visit.
Meanwhile, a group comprised of relatives of people who died in the bomb attacks came to the spot of bomb attacks and laid flowers outside the security circle.
