ANKARA - The Council of Ministers harshly condemned the terrorist attacks that were staged in Istanbul on Saturday.
A statement of the Council of Ministers said that the cabinet harshly condemned the terrorist attacks in Istanbul which claimed lives of many citizens and injured many others.
The Council of Ministers said in the statement, ''we offer condolences to relatives of the victims and quick recovery to the injured. A broad investigation is carried out. Efforts will be continued determinedly to capture those who staged the attack and their collaborators as soon as possible.''
''Turkey is against every kind of terrorism whatever its source and reason are. Nothing can justify terrorism. It is observed that terrorist attacks are increasing in the world in recent days. Turkey has attached importance to international cooperation in fight against terrorism. All countries should take joint action and be determined to take concrete and efficient steps against terrorism,'' the Council of Minister stated.
The Council of Minister added, ''it is obvious that attacks in Istanbul has aimed at tranquility and stability and internal unity and harmony of Turkey which has been ensured for centuries. But, no power can deteriorate this harmony and unity. Our government will exert every effort to heal the wounds of these terrorist attacks.''
