ANKARA - Turkey's Secretary General for the European Union (EU) Murat Sungar and experts of secretariat informed on Friday Parliamentary EU Adjustment Commission regarding the Progress Report of EU for Turkey.
Experts stressed the criticisms regarding the practices that took place in the report and evaluated the report as similar with other reports in style but different in the aspect of term.
Noting that EU did not have a certain opinion regarding full negotiation, experts said that EU has not taken a decision yet about negotiations and they also did not allow 2003 Progress Report to affect 2004 Report and they were waiting for the practice.
Recalling that regulation regarding education in Kurdish language was adopted and a course which had 900 students started education in Batman, experts wanted those developments to be reflected to EU Commission.
Noting that Progress report was prepared in the end of August 2003, experts said that especially positive practices regarding prisons which were fulfilled in September did not take place in the report.
