ANKARA - Turkey's industrial output rose by 4 percent in September 2006 according to Industrial Production Index in September 2006, the Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) announced today.
Industrial production had grown 8.3 percent in September 2005, added TUIK.
Production by mining sector rose by 6.6 percent, manufacturing industry sector was up 3.5 percent, electricity, gas & water sector grew 8.3 percent in September 2006.
Mining sector output rose by 1.4 percent, electricity, gas & water sector production was up 5.6 percent and manufacturing industry sector rose by 8.7 percent in September 2005.
Industrial production had grown 4.8 percent in August this year.
