ANKARA/BOMBAY - Foreign Trade Deputy Undersecretary Omer Faruk Dogan said on Friday that Turkey could play a role of bridge between India and European market.
A Turkish trade delegation came to India to improve commercial relations between the two countries.
Releasing a statement, Foreign Trade Undersecretariat (DTM) said that schedule of the Turkish delegation between November 10 and 16 started with a seminar which was held in Bombay, the biggest and the most important trade center of India.
The statement said that Turkish delegation would hold several meetings in Bombay and New Delhi and noted that 15 Turkish companies in textile, machine, food, metal and informatics sectors would come together with Indian business circles.
Dogan who chairs the Turkish delegation delivered a speech in the seminar in Bombay and said that there was a big trade potential between the two countries.
Dogan will attend the 23rd India Trade Fair which would be opened by Indian President the same day.
Turkish delegation will return to Turkey on November 16.
