BATMAN - Turkish National Education Minister Huseyin Celik, Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler, Public Works & Housing Minister Faruk Nafiz Ozak and Health Minister Recep Akdag visited flood-hit districts in southeastern city of Batman on Tuesday.
Celik told reporters that floods killed people in Batman, Sirnak, Sanliurfa and Diyarbakir cities while it caused damages in cities of Van, Hakkari and Antalya.
Celik said that efforts of damage assessment will be completed this week in the region.
"We will do whatever necessary to heal the wounds of people here," he stressed.
Floods triggered by torrential rains last week devastated especially Turkey's southern and southeastern regions. The death toll is currently 42.
