ANKARA - International Strategic Research Organization's (ISRO) "EU Perception Survey" showed that Turkish public's support to Turkey's EU accession process fell from 75 percent in 2004 to 50 percent in November 2006.
According to ISRO's survey conducted with 1100 respondents in Ankara, Istanbul, (western city) Izmir, (northwestern city) Bursa, (southern city) Adana and (central city) Konya between October 30th and November 4th, 2006, 81 percent of Turkish people consider that EU does not assume a fair and sincere attitude towards Turkey.
The survey indicated that 38 percent of Turkish public think that Turkey would never be a full member of EU while 8 percent consider that Turkey would be an EU member within 5-10 years.
According to the survey, 44 percent of Turkish public consider that the government does not pursue accurate policies on EU accession process.
