ANKARA - Turkey has become a "model" in privatization after it has launched giant privatization projects like Turkish Telekom, Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corp. (Tupras) and Eregli Iron & Steel Industries (Erdemir).
Turkish Privatization Administration (OIB) and Azerbaijani State Privatization Administration have signed a cooperation protocol during the visit of Karam Hasanov, the head of the Azerbaijani administration, to Turkey, authorities said.
According to them, Azerbaijani officials have been impressed with the privatization campaign in Turkey.
Under the protocol, Turkish and Azerbaijani privatization administrations will exchange know-how and experiences. Also, Azerbaijan will take advantage of Turkey's experiences in how to draw interest of foreign investors in privatization projects.
