ISTANBUL - ''Cuba Friendship, Solidarity and Culture Days'' activities were introduced at a meeting held in Istanbul on Thursday with the participation of Camillio Guevara March, the son of Ernesto Che Guevara who pioneered the revolution in Cuba.
The activities will be organized in cooperation between the Cuban Embassy in Ankara and Jose Marti Cuba Friendship Association.
Speaking at the meeting, Jose Marti Cuba Friendship Association Chairperson Ozlem Sen noted that they had decided to organize the activities in order to strengthen solidarity between Turkey and Cuba.
Sen said that Che Studies Center Director Camillio Guevara March, Cuban photographer Juana E. Munoa and Cuban Communist Party officials had come to Turkey to attend the activities.
Cuban Ambassador to Turkey Miguel Lamazares was also in attendance at the meeting.
The activities will start in Istanbul later in the day with Estela Bravo's documentary film ''Fidel''.
Later, photograph exhibition of Juana E. Munoa entitled ''44 Years of Revolution in Cuba'' will be inaugurated, and Cuban musician Gerardo Alfanso will give a concert.
Estela Bravo's documentary films ''Children in Debt'', ''Strawberry and Chocolate'' and ''Mandela in Havana'' will be shown.
Camillio Guevara March will attend two separate meetings on ''Cuba: Lessons of not Yielding'' and ''Conscious of Patriotism''.
In Ankara, Camillio Guevara March will attend a meeting on ''Che and Cuba'' on November 19.
A panel discussion will be held on November 22 with the participation of Venezuelan Ambassador to Turkey Dr. Kaldone G. Nweihed and Cuban Ambassador to Turkey Lamazares.
The activities will end on November 23 with the ''Cuban Night Music and Dance Performance''.
