ANKARA - Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc left for Algeria today upon invitation of Algerian National People's Assembly Speaker Amar Saadani.
Holding a press conference at Ankara's Esenboga Airport before his departure, Arinc mentioned good relations between Turkey and Algeria.
Arinc indicated that Algeria is Turkey's number one trade partner in Africa, and said that he will discuss with Saadani possible contribution of the parliaments of the two countries to the promotion of bilateral relations.
According to information he gave, Arinc will be received by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, National Council Speaker Abdelkader Benselah, PM Abdelaziz Belkhadem, and FM Mohammad Bedjaoui during his stay in this country.
Arinc added that he will sign a cooperation agreement before returning to Turkey.
