ANKARA - Turkey said on Thursday that it wanted tranquility and unity to prevail in Georgia soon following the tension atmosphere in this country after parliamentary elections held on November 2.
Foreign Ministry issued a statement and said, ''Turkey wishes that the developments which occurred in Georgia after Parliamentary elections not to affect well-being of this country and also wants tranquillity and unity to prevail in this country soon.''
The statement expressed belief of Turkey that current problems in Georgia would be overcome through reaching political compromise in the country, and that Georgia would continue to progress on the way of democracy.
