ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will pay an official visit to Sweden between November 18 and 20 upon the invitation of Swedish Foreign Minister Laila Freidvals.
Foreign Ministry issued a statement and said bilateral relations as well as Turkey's European Union (EU) full membership process were expected to be discussed at the meeting.
The statement said the sides would also discuss EU-NATO relations within the scope of 2004 NATO summit that would take place in Istanbul, and international and regional issues such as Iraq and the Middle East.
Gul is scheduled to meet with Swedish Parliament Speaker, chairman and members of the committees that are related to Foreign Affairs and EU issues, Swedish Industry and Trade minister and representatives of some think-tank organizations.
Gul will also meet with Turkish citizens living in Sweden and Swedish business circles.
Gul is expected to return to Turkey on November 20.
