ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will go to TRNC on Saturday to participate in the foundation anniversary celebrations of TRNC.
Opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal will also attend the official ceremonies that would be held in TRNC on November 15 upon the 20th foundation anniversary of TRNC.
After the ceremonies, Prime Minister Erdogan will meet with TRNC President Rauf Denktas.
Prime Minister Erdogan who will separately meet with TRNC Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu, and Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Denktas, is also expected to meet with opposition party leaders Mehmet Ali Talat, Mustafa Akinci, Ali Erel, Ertugrul Hasipoglu and Ali Riza Gorgun.
The visit of Prime Minister Erdogan to TRNC following the announcement of EU Progress Report on Turkey carries great importance. Erdogan is expected to give important messages about Cyprus issue during his contacts.
CHP leader Deniz Baykal, who will go to TRNC on Friday will be accompanied by deputy parliament speaker Yılmaz Ates, deputy CHP leader Onur Oymen and CHP Central Executive Board member Bulent Tanla.
Baykal is also expected to meet with TRNC President Denktas and political party leaders.
Baykal and the accompanying delegation will return to Ankara on November 16, Sunday.
