ANKARA - Turkish TUSAS Aerospace Industries Inc. completed production of forward-center fuselage (FCF) component of A400M transport aircraft, and delivered to Bremen for assembly.
A400M transport aircraft is an alternative for "C130 Hercules" and "C160 Transall" aircraft.
The first A400M aircraft is planned to fly in 2007.
Airbus-Germany, Airbus-UK, Airbus-France, Spanish EADS-CASA and TAI are the main contractors for A400M. Germany will be delivered 60 A400M while Belgium will be delivered 7, France 50, Britain 25, Spain 27, Luxembourg 1 and Turkey 10.
Approximate cost of A400M program is 20 billion Euro.
