Last warning from Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul to Barzani and Talabani: "You are at the threshold of a historic mistake."
Gul said, "they play games against Turkey by using PKK. I am calling on both of them: Don't be after Kurdistan. Give up the dreams of having Kirkuk. Don't support PKK."

SNOW LEAVES RAIN COMES TO ISTANBUL
It started to snow in some regions of Istanbul as of 5.00 a.m. yesterday morning. The snow thickness reached 2-4 cm in districts like Kagithane, Sultanciftligi, Gaziosmanpasa, and Terkos.
Sources said rain will start immediately after this snow.

ERDOGAN: FLOOD IS EXAGGERATED
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said regarding the flood which hit southeastern region of Turkey that there are some exaggerations. He said, "even in most powerful countries of the world, there is no power to prevent natural disasters."

SHAME OF HEALTH OUTBURSTS STREETS
Sick baby who was under treatment in Adana Training & Research Hospital was carried to tomography center (which is 100 meters away from the hospital) from the street with a bed.

OPERATION AGAINST GAMBLING WITH AMBULANCES
Acting on a tip-off that there was gambling, the gendarmery raided a villa in Istanbul's Acarkent district distinguished as doctors and nurses.
The gendarmery went to the villa with 2 ambulances to prevent the body guards of the villa from getting suspicious.
50 people were detained in the operation.

ERDOGAN: WE CAN NOT PREVENT DISASTERS, DON'T EXAGGERATE
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said there were people who "exaggerated" the floods that claimed nearly 40 lives.
Erdogan said, "is there the ability to prevent the natural disasters in the most developed countries of the world? No. It occurs in all them."

STATE ASKS FOR NEW REPORT
17-month old baby who was claimed to be raped was taken under health check again. First hospital the baby was taken gave a report that it was raped, but forensic stated that it was not raped. Thus, Justice Ministry asked a new report.

12,000 PEOPLE MARCH TO ANITKABIR
"Public March for Republic" was held yesterday with participation of many NGOs. Despite the cold weather and snowfall, 12,000 people attended the march and they shouted slogans as "Cankaya is secular and it will remain secular. We do not want headscarf in Cankaya."

TERRORISM SUSPICION
The investigation, which was launched in Germany against YIMPAS Proma Warenhandels --a sub company of YIMPAS-- due to money laundering, was deepened with the suspicion of connection with September 11th attacks. Upon testimony of a personnel of the company, German police wanted an examination on money transfers of the company.

PUBLIC WARNED
People stressed threat of fundamentalism, separatism and imperialism, and called on government to resign during "Public March for Republic" yesterday.

Fadime Conker learned how to read and write at the age of 55. Now she is at high school at the age of 60. She says, "I feel as if I was born again." Her target is university now. Her life has changed with Campaign to Support National Education. Conker thanked Semra Sezer, wife of President Ahmet Necdet Sezer, for the campaign.

ERDOGAN: FLOOD IS EXAGGERATED
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said regarding the flood disaster which killed 39 people that it was exaggerated. He said, "even the most developed countries do not have the power to prevent natural disasters. It cannot be predicted when and how the flood hits."

GIANT INVESTMENTS FOR ISTANBUL
25 new crossroads, which will relieve traffic problem, were opened to service.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who attended the ceremony said, "Istanbul is a vision, and image city of us. Istanbul is an important city for the world."
Erdogan said the 3rd bridge would be built in the Strait.

NEW PERIOD WITH GREECE
Reciprocal measures would be taken between Turkey and Greece about the flight and movement security. Chiefs of General Staff of the Balkan countries will convene periodically and joint land troops would be established.
There will be exchange of staff, and military training opportunities could be used jointly.

ARTICLE 301 TO BE DISCUSSED WITH NGOs
Business world and the vocational organizations started to take action to prevent Turkey's EU full membership process from being interrupted. Leading NGOs of Turkey are getting ready to discuss Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code, which was strongly criticized by the EU, with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
More than 10 NGOs, including TOBB, TUSIAD, DISK, Hak-Is, and IKV reached a consensus 15 days ago about the things that should be done about Article 301.
A 10-page text, that was jointly prepared, will be submitted to Erdogan in Istanbul.

FLOOD AID TO SOUTHEAST IS 1 MILLION YTL
Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said 1 million YTL was sent to cities that were hit by the flood.
The teams started to distribute the aid. Also aid campaign was launched in governors' offices.

101 FACTORIES TO KAYSERI
Foundation of 101 factories and Ataturk Sports Complex were laid in central Anatolian city of Kayseri. The factories are in sectors extending from foodstuff to furniture.
Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said, "we are opening the ways for the investors with reforms. You should produce new projects."
