PACE European Democrats Gather in Antalya for Council of Europe–EU Seminar

Twenty-nine members of the European Democrats Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) convened in Antalya on Wednesday for a two-day seminar examining the relationship between the Council of Europe and the European Union.

AKP Deputy Leader Şaban Dişli opened the event by reaffirming Türkiye's commitment to full EU membership and the importance of cross-cultural dialogue.

AKP lawmaker Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu noted that Türkiye is both a European country and a founding Council of Europe member, adding that foreign parliamentarians who visit the country tend to become stronger supporters of Türkiye in European institutions.
