EDIRNE/AGRI/ISTANBUL - Turkish police arrested 88 illegal migrants in northwestern city of Edirne, eastern city of Agri and Istanbul today.
58 of the illegal migrants who wanted to sneak into Greece were detained in Edirne, and they were of Afghan, Mauritanian, Somalian and Iraqi origin.
Meanwhile, 21 illegal migrants of Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese and Afghan origin were captured in Agri`s Dogubayazit town.
Also, nine Afghans, who wanted to go to European countries illegally, were arrested in Istanbul.
The illegal migrants will be deported once legal proceedings are completed.
