KAYSERI - "Neither the Prime Minister (Recep Tayyip Erdogan) nor I have used expressions like `train crash`. If a train crash occurs, everybody will be injured. We should not think about such things. Turkey is determined to fulfil its obligations," said Turkish FM Abdullah Gul when commenting on Turkey`s EU membership bid.
Speaking to reporters, Gul indicated, "of course there are some problems on this path. But they can be solved by discussions and shuttle diplomacy."
Noting that Cyprus is not an issue to be debated in the EU, Gul stressed that it should be solved under the umbrella of the UN.
Gul expressed thought that problems regarding the Customs Union can be resolved by dialogue.

On the other hand, Gul emphasized that fight against terrorism is the number one item of Turkey`s agenda, and said that the government is in coordination with all concerned state institutions.
Gul added that Turkey is determined to overcome terrorism.
