TOKAT - Christina Bobrow, second officer in the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, met (northern city) Tokat Governor Erdogan Gurbuz on Friday.
Replying to a question on terrorist organization PKK, Bobrow noted that PKK is a terrorist organization, underlining that it must lay down its arms and surrender to Turkish authorities.
Bobrow said they appreciated Turkey`s struggle against terrorism, and they did not consider terrorist organization PKK an interlocutor.
On the other hand, Gurbuz said that the USA assisted Turkey in its fight against terrorism.
Stating that terrorism is a crime against humanity, Gurbuz added that terrorism is "plague of century".
