Bursa to Host International Youth Exchange on Sustainable Development

Twenty-two young people from nine countries will gather in Bursa, in the Marmara region of Türkiye, from 7 to 12 November for an EU-funded youth exchange program built around the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

The project was organized by the Osmangazi Municipality Local Agenda 21 office. Mayor Recep Altepe told reporters the program aims to foster cross-cultural understanding, reduce xenophobia and racism, and help participants engage with issues such as democracy, human rights, and sustainable development.

A symposium titled "UN Millennium Development Targets and Youth" is scheduled for 8 November. Delegates will discuss topics including gender equality, global development partnerships, poverty, hunger, and environmental sustainability.
