TRAFFIC HEAVILY CONGESTED ON D-100 HIGHWAY
BOLU - Heavy rain and fog at the Bolu Mountain caused serious congestion on the D-100 highway that connects the Turkish capital of Ankara to Istanbul.
Visibility dropped to 10 meters at the Bolu Mountain.
Bolu Traffic Police authorities are warning drivers to closely observe all traffic signs and lights and to cooperate with police units. Drivers are being advised to turn on their fog lights and not follow other cars too closely.
Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to drop by 8-10 Celsius degrees at the weekend in most regions of Turkey.
Bitter cold will be experienced in central Anatolia tonight and at the weekend.
