IZMIR - A survey conducted by the International Strategic Research, Education and Consultancy Center (USADEM) showed that Turkish people`s eagerness to join the European Union (EU) has been decreasing day by day.
1,900 people from 15 Turkish cities participated in the survey named "Turkey`s sociopolitical profile in its EU accession process" conducted by USADEM.
Research Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Armagan of USADEM said that the rate of Turkish people who wanted Turkey to be a full member of the EU was 76 percent in 2002, stating that it dropped to 57 percent during the last four years.
Armagan added that 90 percent of Turkish people living in Britain, Germany and France wanted Turkey to become a full member of the EU.
