ISTANBUL/VAN - In an operation conducted in the Avcilar district of Istanbul, police officers confiscated 160 kilograms of heroin stashed in two trucks today.
Police also found dozens of perfume bottles in the trucks.
Four people have been arrested on charges of dealing illicit drugs.
Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, gendarmerie officers in eastern city of Van`s Baskale town found 30 kilograms of heroin hidden in a car on Friday. Gendarmerie forces received help from a sniffer dog in finding the heroin in Baskale. A full scale man hunt is underway to arrest the owner of the car.
