ISTANBUL - "82 percent of Turkish people prefer to use new mobile phones, however Turkey is at the top of list of using second-hand mobile phones in the world," Ericsson Turkey Deputy Director General Yigit Kulabas has indicated.
In a news conference, Kulabas announced the results of "Ericsson Consumer Lab" survey in which consumers` needs and tendencies on telecommunication products were assessed. 2,106 people participated in the survey.
According to the survey, the rate of using both fixed line phones and mobile phones is 61 percent. The rate of using fixed line phones is 20 percent and using mobile phones is 16 percent.
The survey showed that 18 percent of Turkish people use second-hand mobile phones.
