ANKARA - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Wednesday that Turkey was coming to the stage with its 70 million people and 110 billion U.S. dollars foreign trade volume.
Tuzmen received Association of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists in Europe (ATIAD) delegation.
Stressing that Turkey had taken important steps on exports in the past four years, Tuzmen said Turkey's exports increased to the level of 46-48 billion U.S. dollars in the past four years.
Speaking about trade relations between Turkey and Germany, Tuzmen said European Turkish businessmen had important role in improvement of foreign trade with Germany.
Tuzmen stressed the importance of uniting Germany's experience and Turkey's dynamism and youth.
ATIAD Chairman Esref Unsal conveyed the information, which he obtained from his meeting with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, about Turkey's accession to EU and Cyprus question.
Unsal said German Chancellor Schroeder carefully covered the foreign trade volume between Turkey and Germany and the growth performance recorded by Turkey.
