Gendarmerie Capture 22 Foreigners Travelling Illegally In Canakkale

AYVACIK - Gendarme forces captured on Tuesday 22 foreigners who were travelling illegally in Ayvacik town of western Canakkale province.
Gendarme forces detained 12 men, 6 women and 4 children from Somalia who wanted to sneak into Italy on Assos coast in Ayvacik town.
The foreigners said that they paid 2 thousand U.S. dollars per person to a person they did not recognize in Istanbul and was brought to Ayvacik by a minibus.
The Somalians also said that they were asked to wait for a boat there which would take them to Italy.
The foreigners will be deported following legal proceedings.
