ATHENS - National Education Minister Huseyin Celik is representing on Tuesday Turkey in the 21st Conference of Council of Europe (COE) Education Ministers that started in Greek capital Athens.
Intercultural education, management of differences, strengthening democracy, curriculum, and education and training of teachers are taken up in the meeting.
The conference will end after a press conference is held on Wednesday.
Education ministers will issue a declaration which foresees that cultures and beliefs should be included in the curriculum in member countries and schedule of COE activities.
Turkey will host the 22nd Conference of COE Education Ministers in 2006. The date and venue of the conference will be later set.
Celik, who met with Greek Minister of National Education and Religions Petros Efthymiou on Monday, will return to Turkey on Thursday.
