TRABZON - Turkey obtained an income of 260 million 277 thousand U.S. dollars through hazelnut export on the tenth week of export season.
According to figures of Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, Turkey gained 260 million 277 thousand U.S. dollars by exporting 73 thousand 799 tones of hazelnut in the tenth week of 2003-2004 season that started on September 1.
Turkey exported 61 thousand 833 tones of hazelnut to the European Union (EU) countries, 7 thousand 57 tones of hazelnut to other European countries, 3 thousand 199 tones of hazelnut to overseas countries and 1 thousand 709 tones of hazelnut to the other countries.
In the same period of the previous season, Turkey had exported 107 thousand 243 tons of hazelnut and obtained an income of 240 million 370 thousand 783 U.S. dollars.
