Ataturk Commemorated In Netherlands And Macedonia

AMSTERDAM/SKOPJE - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern and secular Republic of Turkey, was commemorated in the Netherlands and Macedonia on the 65th anniversary of his demise.
Dutch Kemalist Thought Association held a ceremony in Rotterdam in which Turkish consulates general in The Hague and Rotterdam staff, Labor Party deputy Nebahat Albayrak and Turkish people living in the Netherlands attended.
During the ceremony, a violin concert was given and Can Dundar's documentary film about Ataturk's last years was shown.
Meanwhile, ceremonies took place in many cities of Macedonia to commemorate Ataturk.
Turkish media in Macedonia gave broad place to life and achievements of Ataturk.
Also, an exhibition including photographs of Ataturk was opened in Skopje City Museum.
