ANKARA - Delegation of the Association of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists in Europe (ATIAD) will pay a visit to Ankara between November 11 and 13, 2003 to present its views and requests about relations between Turkey and the European Union (EU).
Releasing a statement, the ATIAD said that the 17-member delegation would be first received by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on November 11.
The delegation is also scheduled to meet with State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun, Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan, State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Minister Sami Guclu, State Minister Mehmet Aydin, Turkey's Secretary General for the EU Murat Sungar, Privatization Authority Chairman Metin Kilci and Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal.
ATIAD Chairman Esref Unsal said that the delegation would submit a 17-page report to the government about relations between Turkey and the EU and problems of Turkish people living in Europe, .
Noting that the Regular Progress Report of the EU Commission included some 'unacceptable' elements, Unsal added that the delegation would request the government to display the necessary reaction.
