Spanish Deputy Defense Minister Due In Trabzon

TRABZON - Spanish Defense Minister Javier Jimenez Ugarte will come to Black Sea Trabzon province to confer Macka Mayor Omer Yildiz with medal of merit due to his efforts exerted after crash of Ukrainian plane carrying Spanish soldiers near Kockine hamlet in Sahinkaya region in Macka town of northern province of Trabzon.
A 5-people delegation, led by Ugarte, will proceed to Trabzon on Monday evening following their meetings in Ankara.
The delegation is expected to depart from Trabzon on November 12 after completing their meetings.
The Ukrainian plane carrying Spanish peacekeeping forces from Afghan capital Kabul had crashed in Kockine region of Macka town of northeastern Trabzon province on May 26, killing 62 Spanish soldiers and 13 crew members aboard the plane.
