ISTANBUL - Association of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen (TUSIAD) left for Britain on Monday to meet with leading political and business circles in Britain.
TUSIAD issued a statement noting that the delegation would meet with Dr. Denis MacShane, the British Foreign Office Minister of Europe and with Mike O'Brien, the British Foreign Office Minister in charge of international trade and investment.
TUSIAD will stress the political and economic importance of EU's starting full membership negotiations with Turkey during the meetings.
After meeting with British Parliament's Turkey Group Chairman Frank Cook on Tuesday, TUSIAD delegation will participate in the meeting to be directed by Lord William Wallace from London School of Economics.
After meeting with British Industrialists Confederation's general director Digby Jones on November 12, the delegation will attend the lunch to be hosted by Turkish British Business Council. The same day the TUSIAD delegation will meet with Sir Stephen Wall, the chief adviser of British Prime Minister Tony Blair for EU affairs.
