KIRKUK - Insurgents kidnapped 11 Iraqi army soldiers on Saturday after stopping their bus as it drove them home from war-torn Baghdad on leave, an army officer said.
Captain Mahmud Abdallah told AFP that the troops included members of Iraq's minority Kurdish and Turkmen populations, and were in civilian clothes. Everyone on board the bus -- including the military driver -- was abducted.
